Second South Carolina player taken in 2019 NFL Draft

Rashad Fenton became the second former South Carolina player selected in the NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon.

Fenton, a 5-11, 188-pound cornerback from Miami, was taken by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 29th pick of the sixth round, No. 201 overall. Fenton had three interceptions for the Gamecocks last season and five in his career. He had 123 career tackles.

Fenton joined wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who was taken in the second round by the San Francisco 49ers.
