Kendall’s Morning Meeting: Interesting Games Abound in 2015

I’ll make a lot of predictions about the 2015 season in the next two weeks, and I’ll make an earnest effort to make all of them as wisely as I can. But the only one I will feel really, really good about is this: the upcoming fall will be fascinating.

All of these games will be played in the first three weeks of the season and tell us a lot about teams we have a lot of questions about at the moment – South Carolina vs. North Carolina, Alabama vs. Wisconsin, Auburn vs. Louisville, Texas A&M vs. Arizona State (don’t sleep on the Sun Devils), Tennessee vs. Oklahoma, Ole Miss vs. Alabama, LSU vs. Auburn and South Carolina vs. Georgia. And that’s just the first three weeks!

I can’t remember a season where so many teams had so many question marks heading into the year. It’s not just Gamecock fans who are hoping this piece and that piece and maybe a couple other pieces fall just right or worry what might happen if they don’t. It’s most everybody.

For diehard fans, it’s going to make for a stressful season because it’s hard to imagine that everybody’s pieces are going to fall just where fans want them to or that those pieces will stay in the same spot from week to week to week. My advice? Enjoy the angst of everyone else by getting excited about some of these non-Gamecock games listed above. Heartburn loves company, right?
