South Carolina basketball drops its own version of ‘One Shining Moment’

It started with fans online, and now schools are getting in on the “One Shining Moment” action.

With the coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak canceling the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, some started compiling their own videos in the style of the iconic montage that ends each run of March Madness. On Wednesday, the South Carolina Gamecocks dropped their version.

It follows the classic template blending big shots and moments of levity to the lyrics of the Luther Vandross song. It includes big dunks, scrappy plays and is capped by Jermaine Couisnard’s dramatic bucket to top Kentucky in Columbia.

The Gamecocks finished 18-13 and had their season end hours before facing Arkansas in the first game of the SEC tournament in Nashville.
