Former Gamecock PJ Dozier pours in career-high in Nuggets’ regular season finale
Another game, another career high for P.J. Dozier.
The former South Carolina Gamecock scored in a high career-high 20 points for the Denver Nuggets in the 109-99 loss to Toronto on Friday in the regular-season finale.
Denver will begin the first round of the playoffs on Monday against Utah beginning at 1:30 p.m. The game will be carried on ESPN.
Dozier’s 20 points were two better than his previous career-high of 18 set Monday against the Los Angeles Lakers. He was 5-of-6 on 3-pointers and also had eight assists and five rebounds.
Dozier is averaging 10.2 points, and scored in double figures, in five of the team’s eight games since the NBA restarted last month in Florida.
The former Spring Valley High standout signed a multi-year contract with Denver in June. Previously, he spent time with the Windy City Bulls, Denver’s G League affiliate and the Nuggets this season.
