Jermaine Couisnard won’t play tonight in Gamecocks road trip to Coastal, report says
South Carolina junior Jermaine Couisnard won’t tonight against Coastal Carolina with a groin injury, CBS Sports insider Jon Rothstein posted to social media Wednesday evening.
Couisnard is averaging 13.5 points per game. He scored 13 in Sunday’s win over Rider but appeared to be in some discomfort during the game.
The Gamecocks (5-1) are off to their best start to a season since 2017-18. Coastal is 2-2 with wins over Ferrum College and Valparaiso, and losses to UNC Wilmington and Toledo.
