Where Lamont Paris’ South Carolina salary ranks among SEC basketball coaches
South Carolina’s board of trustees approved the hire of new basketball coach Lamont Paris on Thursday.
Paris’ contract will be a five-year deal worth $12 million, an average of $2.4 million annually. His salary will be $2.2 million next year before incentives and rises $100,000 each year. It is a considerable increase from what he was making at Chattanooga ($250,000 per season).
