USC’s incoming hoops class waiting on one more

South Carolina’s recruiting class nearly is complete.

The last piece of Frank Martin’s haul, center Eric Cobb, is almost ready. During Steve Spurrier’s media golf outing Wednesday, Martin said he thinks Cobb passed through the NCAA Clearinghouse.

“He’s been accepted into school, so I don’t think there should be anything holding him up,” Martin said.

Cobb gives the Gamecocks a 6-foot-10, 275-pound mountain in the paint.

“We’re finally starting to look like an SEC front line,” Martin said last month.

Cobb will enroll in time for the fall semester. The other recruits in the class already are enrolled and playing in the S.C. Pro-Am, which takes place Thursday at Heathwood Hall.
