Nick Pringle is staying in the Southeastern Conference for his final college stop.

The former Gamecocks men’s basketball player announced Tuesday he is transferring to play for John Calipari and Arkansas. The Razorbacks will be the third SEC team of his college career, joining South Carolina and Alabama. He is the first commitment for Arkansas from the transfer portal for next season.

The Razorbacks added Florida State’s Malique Ewin shortly after adding Pringle.

Pringle announced March 24 that he was transferring from the Gamecocks and also planned to enter his name into the 2025 NBA Draft pool to get feedback from scouts.

He began his career at Wofford before going to Dodge City Community College and then Alabama for two seasons, where he was a member of the Crimson Tide’s 2024 Final Four team. He transferred to play for Lamont Paris ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Pringle (6-foot-10, 220 pounds) started all 32 games for USC and averaged 9.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. He shot 57.2% from the field and 65.5% on free throws. One of his best games came this season when he scored 18 points against the Razorbacks on March 1. The 18 points were a season-high, which he also equaled against Clemson.
