South Carolina commit’s team will be in next season of Last Chance U
The Netflix series “Last Chance U” has drawn acclaim and viewers the past two summers leading into football season.
The next edition will include a future Gamecock.
Netflix officially announced Thursday the next season will be shot at Independence Community College in Kansas. That’s where South Carolina commit defensive line commitment Dantrell Barkley is set to play the 2017 season.

The first two seasons of “Last Chance U” focused on East Mississippi Community College, a national powerhouse that saw the likes of former Clemson quarterback Chad Kelly, ex-Oregon tailback LeGarrette Blount and current Gamecock Dante Sawyer come though its doors.
Barkley, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound lineman from Kannapolis, N.C., redshirted in his first junior college season. He had 57 tackles and six sack his senior season in high school.
