Gamecocks tailback target wins NC Gatorade Player of Year award
South Carolina target and Harding (NC) running back Quavaris Crouch was named NC Gatorade Player of Year on Monday.
Crouch, the No. 1 ranked running back for the Class of 2019, rushed for 3,142 yards and 31 TDs in helping Harding to Class 4A championship this season. He also had 42 tackles and 14 sacks on defense.
The Gamecocks were the first school to offer Crouch and he made an unofficial visit to USC on Nov. 25. Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and Michigan also are in the mix for Crouch.
