Georgia kicker to walk on with Gamecocks
Norcross (Ga.) kicker Cole Hanna has accepted a preferred walk-on opportunity from South Carolina.
Hanna posted his announcement on Twitter on Monday. He is the teammate of Georgia commit Jake Camrada, the No. 1 ranked punter and fourth-ranked kicker according the Kohl’s Kicking Rankings.
I am extremely excited to say that I have committed to continue my academic and football career at The University of South Carolina as a PWO!!!! #SpursUp #wecocky18 @CoachHutzler @CoachWMuschamp pic.twitter.com/7GEV6SxVsA

“It is a dream come true to have the opportunity to kick in the SEC,” Hanna posted on Twitter.
Hanna also had interest from Georgia State, Maryland, Mercer, Air Force and Troy. He took an unofficial visit to Georgia State in October.
This season, Hanna was 18 of 20 on extra points and 2-of-3 on field goals for Norcross.
The Gamecocks have two other kickers on the roster – Parker White and Alex Woznik.
