Gamecock QB commits Luke Doty, Ryan Hilinski turn in big performances
Two future South Carolina quarterbacks had big nights Friday night.
Class of 2020 commit Luke Doty was 12-of-20 for 175 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed for 36 yards in Myrtle Beach’s 37-0 season-opening win over Hanahan.
Class of 2019 commit Ryan Hilinski was 27-of-34 for 322 yards (250 yards in first half) and three touchdowns in Orange Lutheran’s 45-28 loss to Centennial. Orange Lutheran (Calif.) led 28-17 in the third quarter but Centennial scored the final 28 points.
Orange Lutheran is 1-1 on the season.

Class of 2019
Jahmar Brown (St. Thomas Aquinas HS, Fla.) – Returned fumble 12 yards for touchdown Saturday in nationally-televised game against Dematha HS. St. Thomas won, 38-0
Jahkeem Green (Highland CC, Kan) – Had two tackles in win over Fort Scott on Saturday.
Kevin Harris (Bradwell Institute HS, Ga.) – Rushed for 77 yards and TD in loss to Liberty County. In two games, he has 128 yards on 25 carries and two TDs.
Jamario Holley (Northwestern) – Caught three passes for 34 yards and also rushed for two touchdowns against Byrnes. He also had 84 yards on kickoff/punt returns.
Traevon Kenion (Wake Forest HS, N.C.) – Had two catches for 94 yards, including a 61-yard touchdown catch in win over Richmond County. In two games, he has four catches for 166 yards and two TDs.
Keveon Mullins (Whitehaven HS, Tenn.) – Caught two TD passes in 21-14 win over Ridgeway on Saturday.
Zacch Pickens (TL Hanna) – Had six tackles and a sack in season opener against Emerald.
Cam Smith (Westwood) – Had three tackles and a pass breakup against Blythewood.
Keshawn Toney (Williston-Elko) – Missed game with ankle injury.
Class of 2020
Mecose Todd (Villa Rice HS, Ga.) – Rushed for 156 yards, including a 49-yard TD in win over ML King.
