Will Muschamp dropped in to visit MarShawn Lloyd on Thursday
South Carolina football coaches are out and about nationally, taking advantage of the free week after the season to hit the road recruiting.
On Thursday night, USC coach Will Muschamp checked in with the top recruit in the 2020 class, MarShawn Lloyd.
Lloyd posted a short video of him and Muschamp hanging out together on Instagram. The tailback from the Mid-Atlantic reason was expected to be one who might be hard to hold onto through signing, but since his season ended, he’s been posting pro-South Carolina things to social media.
He also told Josh Kendall of The Athletic he’s 100 percent committed despite a change coming at offensive coordinator.
Lloyd is the No. 39 recruit in the country by the 247 Sports Composite rankings. He’s the No. 7 tailback and third-best player in Maryland.
Lloyd delivered a season’s worth of highlight reel plays, including one that made SportsCenter’s No. 1 play. He led DeMatha High School to a 7-4 record against a powerhouse schedule.
After the season, he announced he was leaving the school so he could enroll early.
