Gamecocks pledge earns JUCO All-American honors

South Carolina football will be bringing in at least one All-American in its 2020 recruiting class, maybe more.

Gamecocks offensive line commit Jazston Turnetine made the Junior College All-American list after a strong 2019 season. The 6-foot-6, 338 pounder made the NJCAA second team.

He was part of a Hutchinson offense that averaged 44.8 points per game and 246.3 yards rushing. Turnetine is rated by 247 as the No. 83 JUCO recruit in the country.

Also on the list were a pair of South Carolina targets in Zaquandre White and Yaya Diaby. White, a former Florida State running back and linebacker, ranked second nationally with 109.5 rushing yards per game for Iowa Western. White made the first team.

Diaby also made the first team. He posted 58 tackles, 16 for loss and five sacks for Georgia Military College.
