Gamecock commits Colten Gauthier, Sam Reynolds pile up yards and TDs

It was a good night for future South Carolina quarterbacks.

Gamecocks’ Class 2022 commit and Rabun County (Georgia) Gunnar Stockton had 346 yards of offense and five touchdowns in a nationally-televised win over Prince Avenue.

But Stockton’s wasn’t the only big night for future USC signal callers.

Hebron Christian Academy quarterback and USC Class 2021 commit Colten Gauthier threw for 342 yards, three touchdowns and also ran for one Friday in 56-37 season-opening loss to North Cobb Christian.

The 6-foot-3 Gauthier is a three-star prospect according to 247Sports and committed to South Carolina in March.

Class of 2021 wide receiver commitment Sam Reynolds had almost 200 yards of total offense for Thompson (Alabama) in a 48-35 win over Spain Park. The game featured more than 1,000 yards of total offense between the teams.

Reynolds, who is playing running back in high school, ran for 84 yards and had 111 yards receiving, including an 85-yard touchdown catch and three total TDs. Thompson is the No. 1 team in Class 7A in Alabama.

Reynolds will be on ESPNU next week when Thompson faces Hewitt High School.
