With the opposing team determined to take away the passing game, Braden Davis did a little bit everything Friday night.

The South Carolina commit and Middletown (Delaware) quarterback threw only seven times, completing five passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns in the 49-7 win over St. Georges Tech.

Davis also ran it three times for 52 yards in the game.

“We saw a team determined to take away the throws,” Middletown coach Zachary Blum told The State on Saturday. “They played two-man and gave us the run. Braden did a great job being a football player, running, making decisions, passing when called, and even blocking.”

Middletown is 5-1 on the season and has three regular-season games left before the playoffs begin.

A look at how some of the other USC commits fared this week:

Jamaal Whyce, DL, Florida Christian: Whyce has 33 tackles, eight for loss, 1½ sacks and three caused fumbles this season.
