Speedy, productive in-state receiver lands offer from South Carolina football
Jackson Repp made an impression last week with the South Carolina coaching staff.
On Wednesday night, the Christ Church senior receiver picked up an offer from Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks.
Repp also got an offer from Buffalo, coached by former Gamecock assistant Pete Lembo, last week. South Carolina is his second Power 4 offer. His first was Boston College. Some of his other offers include Air Force, Army, Lafayette, Furman, Dartmouth and Georgia State.
Repp, 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, attended USC’s camp on Friday and posted on social media a clip of him in the 40-yard dash in which he ran between 4.25 and 4.3 seconds.
South Carolina has three receiver commitments from this year’s class — Jayden Sellers, Brian Rowe and Lex Cyrus. The Gamecocks have 18 commits so far after Jaiden Barker decommitted on Wednesday afternoon in favor of LSU.
Repp was one of the most productive receivers in the state last season in helping Christ Church with the Class A championship. He had 63 receptions for 1,510 and 27 touchdowns. In the state championship win over Johnsonville, he caught six passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns.
Repp also returned punts and kicks for the Cavaliers and had more than 800 yards in returns. Christ Church will be moving up to Class 3A this season and opens at Hammond.
