South Carolina is still acquiring talent for the Gamecocks’ 2025 football roster.

Former Colorado running back Isaiah Augustave committed to Shane Beamer and South Carolina on Wednesday night, he announced via social media. The school confirmed his signing Thursday morning.

Augustave originally committed to Virginia in April after opting to transfer from Colorado. But he never signed with the Cavaliers and re-entered the transfer portal.

He led the Buffaloes in 2024 as a sophomore with 85 carries for 394 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Augustave, who is from Naples, Florida, signed with Arkansas out of high school and played one season with the Razorbacks.

Now a junior, he’ll enter a USC running back room that’s not quite settled.

The Gamecocks for sure will have these four scholarship running backs available: Bradley Dunn, Jawarn Howell, Matthew Fuller and Oscar Adaway III — with Adaway the only USC back with extensive FBS playing experience.

South Carolina also has transfer running back Rahsul Faison on the roster, but he’s still waiting on clearance from the NCAA for an extra year of eligibility.
