Fifteen future Gamecocks signed to South Carolina during the December signing period, making their commitments official.

Here’s a list of USC’s newest freshman class:

Anthony Baxter, three-star OL: Baxter (6-4, 340) committed to the Gamecocks in May 2024 and hasn’t wavered since. The No. 29 recruit in South Carolina held other major offers from Penn State, Virginia Tech and Kentucky.

Kosci Barnes, three-star DB: Barnes (6-2, 194) is the No. 29 corner in the nation and the No. 16 player in North Carolina. He plays defensive back and wide receiver for Grimsley High School, winning a 4A state championship as a junior. Barnes visited USC, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi State and Kentucky, but ultimately chose the Gamecocks.

Keenan Britt, three-star LB: Britt (6-1, 220), a product of Oxford, Alabama, is the No. 21 player from his state. He’s the younger brother of former Auburn LB K.J. Britt, but chose the Gamecocks over an offer from the Tigers. Britt also took an official visit to Florida.

Noah Clark, four-star DL: Clark (6-4, 345) joins Harris as another top prospect from North Carolina heading south to play for the Gamecocks. He’s ranked No. 34 at the position and No. 15 in the state. Clark took visits with USC, Duke, Virginia, Notre Dame and N.C. State before committing to the Gamecocks in July.

J’Zavien Currence, four-star DB: Currence (6-4, 200) was arguably USC’s top defensive target this recruiting cycle. He’s the No. 67 player in the nation, the No. 9 safety and the No. 1 player in South Carolina. He snagged three picks and recorded 18 pass breakups at South Pointe this season. Currence also plays quarterback for the Stallions, posting 3,319 yards of total offense and 29 total touchdowns in the regular season.

Landon Duckworth, four-star QB: Duckworth (6-3, 195) was one of the Gamecocks’ biggest recruiting targets for this class. He’s the No. 10 quarterback in the class and the No. 6 ranked player in Alabama. Duckworth went back and forth with USC throughout his recruitment. He committed under offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains in August 2023, backed out in June 2024 and then re-pledged this past July prior to Shula’s first season as offensive coordinator and eventual firing.

Darius Gray, four-star OL: Gray (6-3, 285) is the crown jewel of USC’s signees and the No. 37 overall player in the Class of 2026, according the 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also the No. 2 interior offensive lineman and the No. 2 player in Virginia. A product of St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, he committed to the Gamecocks in August over offers from LSU, Ohio State, Clemson and more. Gray was also the Virginia Prep League Co-Player of the Year in basketball as a junior.

Zyon Guiles, four-star OL: Guiles (6-5, 290) rounds out a pair of top-5 interior offensive linemen for USC in the 2026 class. A product of Carvers Bay High in Hemingway, Guiles is the No. 4 player in the state. He was recruited by former USC OL coach Lonnie Teasley, but kept his pledge through Teasley’s firing.

Aiden Harris, four-star DL: Harris (6-3, 275) is ranked No. 91 in the nation, No. 11 at his position and No. 5 in North Carolina. He’ll look to bolster USC’s defensive front right away. He chose USC over offers from Ohio State, Penn State and others. Harris’ brother, linebacker Andrew Harris, also signed with the Gamecocks.

Andrew Harris, three-star LB: Harris (6-2, 235) is slightly underrated relative to his brother. He’s the 20th-ranked player in North Carolina and No. 41 among edge rushers. Harris and his brother told The State the plan was always to play together.

KJ Johnson, three-star DB: Johnson (6-2, 175) is the No. 41 player at his position and the No. 18 player in Alabama. He chose USC over offers from Ole Miss, West Virginia, Arkansas and more. He also visited Mississippi State just a few days after committing to the Gamecocks in June.

Triston Lewis, three-star DB: Lewis (6-3, 205), who is from Greenwood, is one of USC’s most intriguing prospects. He’s a three-sport athlete at Greenwood High School, playing basketball and baseball alongside football. According to his 247Sports scouting report, he throws 93 mph off the mound. Lewis plays quarterback and free safety for Greenwood, and he was recruited to USC by pass-game coordinator Mike Furrey and defensive backs coach Torrian Gray. He’ll play in the secondary for the Gamecocks.

Sequel Patterson, four-star WR: While listed as an athlete on his 247Sports recruiting page, Patterson (6-0, 175) primarily plays wide receiver for Indian Land High School in Fort Mill. He’ll likely find reps as a slot receiver and return specialist with the Gamecocks. He recorded 757 yards and seven touchdowns on 57 receptions during his senior regular season.

Caden Ramsey, three-star TE: Ramsey (6-5, 210) put up 42 catches for 604 yards and eight touchdowns in the regular season as a senior at Cross High School. He held offers from Georgia Tech, Syracuse and Virginia Tech. USC offered Ramsey in June, and he announced his pledge in September.

Julian Walker, four-star edge rusher: Walker (6-5, 260) represents USC’s only flip of the signing period. He’d been committed to Michigan since July 1, but visited USC three times since committing. The Gamecocks’ efforts paid off as Walker announced his change of plans at his signing ceremony Thursday. A product of Dutch Fork High School in Irmo, Walker is the No. 3 player in South Carolina, the No. 10 edge rusher and a top-100 player nationally for the class of 2026.
