USC commits react to Muschamp being hired

RB CJ Freeman (Northern Guilford; Greensboro, N.C.)

“Not doing any interviews about the hiring of Coach Muschamp yet. I’ll see everything when I take my official visit this weekend.”

DE Griffin Gentry (Homewood; Birmingham, Ala.)

“I know that he’s big on defense, and I think he’s a big hire for the program.”

WR Tre Jackson (University; Baton Rouge, La.)

“He was the first coach to offer me my freshman year, and I was committed to him and the Gators for a while. I believe he is one of the best hires Mr. Tanner could’ve made. I’m excited for him to be my coach and look forward to getting in and working with him.”

OT Pete Leota (Asheville; Asheville, N.C.)

“I don’t really know the coach. I’ll have to go meet him. USC is still a great school regardless of the coach.”

OT Will Putnam (Hickory Ridge; Harrisburg, N.C.)

The new hire is interesting. I need to get back down there and meet with him and his staff.
