ESPN signing day bonanza includes South Carolina
South Carolina fans yearning for Gamecocks-specific National Signing Day coverage on their televisions and digital devices are in luck.
ESPNU starts the day-long coverage from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, with five-hours of recruiting and coaching analysis, whip-around reporting and live announcements. At 1 p.m., ESPN2 takes over signing day coverage for four hours before tossing it back to ESPNU to recap the final results of the day from 5 to 7 p.m.
Fifteen ESPN TV reporters will be dispatched across the country, reporting from every school in Recruiting Nation’s Top 10. ESPN also with have reporters at five schools outside the Top 10, including South Carolina. Peter Burns will be at USC as part of the network’s whip-around reporting.
USC coach Will Muschamp will discuss the Gamecocks’ signing class in a 3 p.m. news conference that will be carried live on the school website GamecocksOnline.com and through SEC Network Plus, which can be accessed via computer or digital device such as an iPad.
After Muschamp speaks, USC will recognize its six midyear high school enrollees:
