Former USC commit Lloyd Cushenberry signs with LSU
Offensive lineman Lloyd Cushenberry didn’t sign with South Carolina on Wednesday. That was expected.
What was not expected was that Cushenberry would get a late offer from hometown LSU and sign with the Tigers, which is what happened on National Signing Day.
Cushenberry, a three-star prospect, played for Dutchtown High in Geismar, La., which is just outside Baton Rouge. He committed to USC last summer but never took an official visit with the Gamecocks.
The 6-3, 310-pound Cushenberry was planning to sign with Mississippi State but notified the Bulldogs on Wednesday morning that he was signing with LSU, according to NOLA.com.
