Athletic prospect Sadarius Hutcherson makes it official, signs with USC
Sadarius Hutcherson out of Huntingdon High School in Huntingdon, Tenn., has signed with South Carolina.
Hutcherson took official visits to Arizona State and Memphis the two weekends leading up to signing day but ultimately decided to stick with the Gamecocks.
He signed 6-foot-4, 230-pound offensive lineman.
Hutcherson was offered when Shawn Elliott was serving as interim head coach and had his offer reaffirmed by Will Muschamp shortly after Muschamp was hired in early December. He committed to USC not long after finding out the new staff would continue to recruit him.
“(Coach Muschamp) told me you don’t find many big, athletic guys where I live,” Hutcherson said. “They say South Carolina is rebuilding, but I don’t believe that. I’m looking to have early playing time.”
Hutcherson chose South Carolina over Memphis, Illinois and Arizona State.
He is rated as a three-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. As a senior, Hutcherson made 45 tackles with 11 tackles for loss.
