Cordova, Tenn., offensive lineman Jerome Carvin visited South Carolina for its spring game back in April and he continues through his recruiting process he’s planning another visit with the Gamecocks. USC is one of his top schools along with Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Memphis, Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

“I’m looking to take more visits in upcoming weeks,” Carvin said. “I’m going to try to get back up to South Carolina soon, Alabama, try to get to Michigan and Memphis probably will be one I go to.”

USC offensive line coach Eric Wolford and recruiter Bobby Bentley continue to work Carvin and he says he hears from the Gamecocks about every day.

“They’re just checking on me to make sure I’m good,” Carvin said. “They are just telling me to keep them in mind and that I have a chance to play early there. I’m definitely interested. My cousin played for Coach Muschamp and always said good things about him.”

Carvin said USC has invited him to the prospect party on July 22 and he will come in if he can but he’s not sure at this point.

Carvin said he’s planning to commit around the end of July or early August. He has not yet shortened his list but he said he’s looking the hardest at USC, Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan, Michigan State, Auburn and Memphis.

Notes:

▪  Jacksonville quarterback Carter Bradley will visit Georgia on Saturday. Depending on what happens with him at Georgia related to an offer, he might still try to visit the Gamecocks for a camp Friday in pursuit of an offer.

▪  Santa Monica, Ca., 2020 offensive lineman Gavin Hals visited Clemson on Wednesday and USC on Saturday while in the state.
