Blue chip WR leaning USC, and he’s announcing soon
Tucker, Ga., wide receiver Josh Vann is ready to end the back and forth in his mind between South Carolina and Georgia.
For weeks he has tossed and turned between those two programs, at one time favoring the Gamecocks, another time favoring the Bulldogs. Vann is now ready to make his announcement and said that will come either Saturday morning after his game at the new Georgia State football stadium, (formerly Turner Field) or early Monday afternoon at his school.
Monday night Vann spoke without hesitation regarding which school to which he expects to commit, and that's USC. Vann said USC just felt right to him right now and he was very comfortable with the program. And with the expectation that Deebo Samuel will leave for the NFL after this season, Vann sees an opportunity for early playing time with the Gamecocks.
Vann said he's also excited about the opportunity to play with Gamecock quarterback Jake Bentley and the potential for future success with the program.
Vann said he's in regular contact with USC head coach Will Muschamp and receivers coach Bryan McClendon. He's also still hearing from Georgia but he said he couldn't foresee the Bulldogs overcoming the Gamecocks in the time left before his announcement.
