Cordova, Tenn. offensive lineman Jerome Carvin has taken official visits to Tennessee and Mississippi State. He has official visits scheduled to UCLA this weekend and Memphis on Nov. 17. That leaves one official visit for Carvin and USC offensive line coach Eric Wolford is doing his best to convince him to spend that weekend in Columbia.

“It’s really between them, Indiana and Texas A&M,” Carvin said. “I think they are trying to set it up for Dec. 15. I think a lot of the offensive line commits are coming in that weekend. I hear from them a lot, Coach Wolf. He’s saying they are low on numbers on the offensive line.”

He is looking at deciding on that last official visit next week or the following week.

Carvin said he’s not bothered by the uncertainty at Tennessee and as long as the offensive line coach is there, he’ll remain interested.

He said he does not have a favorite and wants to make his decision the second or third weekend in December. He feels like USC, Tennessee and Mississippi State are recruiting him the hardest of all the schools right now. He will be an early graduate.
