National Signing Day schedule for Gamecocks recruits
Will Muschamp is set to put the wraps on his third USC recruiting class Wednesday.
Muschamp’s remaining targets are defensive lineman John Mincey of Homerville, Ga., and defensive lineman Rick Sandidge of Concord, N.C.
Gamecocks targets announcement schedule:
Sandidge - 2:30 p.m., will announce at ceremony
Mincey - 10 a.m., has reportedly said he’ll announce Wednesday, but could make his choice earlier
Bryce Thompson - 8:30 a.m., committed
Dylan Wonnum - 10 a.m., committed
Ronnie Jamison - unknown
South Carolina coaches Lance Thompson and Travaris Robinson saw Mincey on Friday, and he talked on the phone with Muschamp. He is choosing between the Gamecocks and Tennessee.
Saturday afternoon Muschamp and his defensive assistants got the final in person home visit with Sandidge. He is down to the Gamecocks and Georgia. Kirby Smart and assistants were in earlier in the week.
The current 23-member class, signees and commitments, heading into Wednesday’s National Signing Day is ranked 17th by ESPN, 18th by Rivals and 19th in the 247Sports composite ranking.
Thompson and Jamison were two early commitments who did not sign in December because of academics. Jamison’s status is uncertain at this juncture.
