Recruiting roundup: USC O-line target trims list

News and notes related to South Carolina recruiting from Friday.

▪ OL Joshua Ball of Fredericksburg, VA Friday cut his list to 15….USC, Auburn, Duke, Florida State, Maryland, Miami, Ole Miss, NC State, Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin. He visited USC for the spring game.

▪ DB Chris Smith of South Pointe was offered Friday by Eastern Michigan. He also has a USC offer and others.

▪ Alabama on Friday offered TE Thaddeus Moss of Charlotte. USC is also an offer.

▪ USC offered 2017 DE Jonathan Ford of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

▪ USC has an offer out to 2018 LB Eric Gilyard of Jacksonville, who was offered Friday by Alabama.
