Gamecocks offer tall receiver from Georgia; new D-line coach hitting the road
South Carolina on Tuesday reached into South Georgia for a tall target in Columbus wide receiver Jacyais Credle (6-foot-4, 195 pounds). The Gamecocks aren’t alone in noticing Credle who also has offers from Oregon, Virginia and Tennessee.
“I was very excited to know that South Carolina had interest,” Credle said. “Once they offered I was like, this is something big.”
Last season, Credle had 40 catches for 800 yards and eight touchdowns. He said the coaches like his tall frame and ability to catch the football.
“Like how I use my frame to get the ball and great, strong hands,” he said.
Credle said he hopes to visit USC next month after he gets SAT/ACT score on his transcript.
