Muschamp, McClendon drop in on a pair of Georgia talents this week

South Carolina coach Will Muschamp and offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon made a visit to McDonough, Ga. Wednesday where and made an offer to wide receiver Justin Robinson (6-foot-4, 205 pounds). They delivered the offer through Robinson’s coach.

“I’m very excited about the offer.” Robinson said

He’s visited USC before to check out the stadium and he plans to make a recruiting visit this spring. He also has offers from Notre Dame, Virginia, Georgia, Wake Forest and Coastal Carolina. He has visited Virginia, Georgia and Boston College and plans to visit Notre Dame and Wake Forest in March. Last season he had 35 catches for 750 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Notes:

Gmaecocks assistants Travaris Robinson and John Scott met at school Thursday with defensive lineman Jaquaze Sorrells of Winter Park, Fla. This is Scott’s first meeting with him and he plans to return next week. Robinson also is scheduled for an in home visit tonight with corner Jammie Robinson out of Leesburg, Ga.

Atlanta cornerback Dequanteous Watts met at his school Wednesday morning with Muschamp and McClendon. That was the extent of the in-person visit with Watts because of his basketball practice Wednesday night. Watts took his official visit to USC last weekend and will visit Louisville this coming weekend.

Gainesville, Ga., 2020 defensive lineman Makius Scott plans to visit USC Saturday.
