South Carolina recruiting target says he likely won’t sign next week

It appears South Carolina’s recruiting class is all full.

Cornerback Dequanteous Watts said Wednesday it appears he will not sign anywhere next Wednesday because spots are full at his schools of interest so he’s looking at reclassifying or going junior college. USC is one of those schools.

He texted with Will Muschamp today and Muschamp told him he would let him know if a spot opens for him. Louisville was another program Watts visited.

The 6-foot-2, 165 pound defender out of Atlanta decommitted from Central Florida after visiting the Gamecocks during the season. As a senior, he had 49 tackles, six interceptions and nine pass breakups.

Notes:

South Carolina offered 2020 athlete Garnett Hollis Jr. and 2020 safetyAntonio Stevens of Franklin, Tenn.

The Gamecocks offered 2021 linebacker Deshauwn Alleyne (6-foot, 210) of Port St. Lucie, Fla.
USC offered running back Kobe Pryor (6-foot, 200 pounds) of Cedartown, Ga.
Hammond coach Erik Kimrey tweeted: “Been a busy week at Hammond School! South Carolina, Clemson, Auburn, Tennessee, Virginia, Michigan & East Carolina have come to check in on our players.”
