“I had a great talk with Coach Bentley,” Nelson said. “He talked to me about my film and that it looked great . He also asked about my size. He came up to the school first and we talked later in the day on the phone and he ended up telling me about the offer. I haven’t been down to South Carolina yet but I’d love to make it down there for a camp or a visit to check out the school.”
Nelson said last season he had 40 tackles and six sacks. From talking with Bentley, he said the Gamecock staff sees a spot for him in their system.
“They were telling me I would be a good look at defensive end for them” Nelson said. ” I have good size and I move well and have great energy and hustle very well. I have my hopes high as I look forward to seeing them.”
Nelson has visited Kentucky and Mississippi State thus far and has offers from each. He also has offers from Louisville, Tennessee, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.
