Two South Carolina recruiting targets set announcements for Monday
A second South Carolina target has set Monday for his commitment announcement. Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College linebacker Navonteque Strong plans to reveal his choice to start off next week.
The Gamecocks were his first SEC offer ahead of MIssissippi State. He also has offers from Colorado, Troy, UAB, Arkansas State, South Alabama, Washington State, Toledo, Memphis, FAU, Louisiana, East Carolina, ULM and UAB.
He had 104 tackles with 8 1/2 sacks last season. The other announcement Monday will come from athlete Raheim Sanders of Rockledge, Florida. He’s down to USC, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri and Florida State.
Sanders projects as a wide receiver or maybe running back, but he’s said one Gamecocks assistant wants him at linebacker.

▪ Former Gamecocks safety commitment Demarko Williams of Atlanta said he committed to a school Tuesday and will announce Saturday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. USC was in his final five but wasn’t the choice. The others in the top five were Oregon, N.C. State, Pitt & Ole Miss.
▪ Clemson and South Carolina defensive end target Dallas Turner of Fort Lauderdale was offered by Notre Dame.
▪ Gamecocks cornerback target Khyree Jackson of East Mississippi Community College was offered by Washington State and Tennessee.
▪ South Carolina running back target Caleb McDowell of Leesburg, Georgia decommitted from NC State.
