South Carolina running back target has made his choice. He’ll reveal it this week

Savannah running back Antario Brown said Sunday he’s still on his for his announcement Wednesday.

It will be via a Twitter video at 4:30 p.m. His decision came down to South Carolina and Virginia Tech. He spoke with both staffs over the weekend and he has informed both schools of his decision.

USC has been in good position with Brown since making him his first offer May 4. Virginia Tech was next to offer, and he also was offered by NC State and West Virginia. Brown totaled 1,500 yards in seven games last season.

The Gamecocks have one running back committed in Caleb McDowell of Leesburg, Georgia. They project to return five scholarship backs on the 2021 roster.

One-time USC safety target Dink Jackson of Melbourne, Florida committed to Ole Miss.

South Carolina made the top six for offensive tackle Caleb Etienne of Butler Community College (Kansas). The others on his list are Texas Tech, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Houston and Mississippi State.
