Two-sport Gamecocks recruiting target sets commitment day
South Carolina football and basketball target Michael Trigg, a tight end from Lake Wales, Florida, plans to announce his commitment Oct. 11.
He has USC, LSU and Southern Cal in his final three. He plans to play both sports in college. Last season Trigg caught 82 passes for 1,232 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Trigg is rated as a four-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite. He’s ranked the No. 6 tight end in the country and the No. 20 prospect in Florida.
▪ New Jackson State coach Deion Sanders offered defensive tackle Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins of Gaffney. He recently said he had made his college decision from South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina. Ingram-Dawkins had four sacks in his opening game last Friday.
▪ Hartsville native Tiyon Evans, a running back at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas was offered by Liberty. He decommitted from Tennessee last week.
