Florida lineman will attend recruit party at USC Friday

One of the USC targets planning to jump into the pool Friday, (swimming pool not the commitment pool) is offensive lineman Marcus Tatum (6-6 265) of Daytona Beach, FL. South Carolina is one of his favorites and he can check the Gamecocks off his visit list this weekend leaving only NC State, Arkansas and Tennessee as favorites he's not visited. He went to Alabama and Florida State last week.

'I really like Coach Spurrier Jr. and Coach Elliott and how they went about the recruiting process," Tatum said. "Coach Elliott likes my range of motion and athleticism, and he likes my aggressiveness down field also." Tatum can play tackle or guard.

Tatum said he's been hearing a lot from all of his eight favorites and they are all recruiting him hard. He doesn't have a favorite nor a timetable for a decision.

"Whenever I feel the time is right," he said. "I want to take official visits this fall."

Tatum said his stepdad will join him on his first ever visit to USC. He will visit Tennessee Saturday.
