The twin brother combination of DT Aiden Harris (6-3 250) and DE Andrew Harris (6-2 225) of Weddington, NC will soon reveal their college decision. The two plan to sign with the same school.

They’ll be making their final decision soon with three official visits scheduled, starting this weekend at South Carolina.

Aiden, who is the older brother by one minute, said he and his brother have just about seen enough and heard enough, and now they are getting close to taking the next step.

“The process, a lot of people say it gets easier, but when it’s down to a few schools, I feel like it’s harder because of the bond that you built with the other coaches,” Harris said. “I wouldn’t say the relationships have to die, but it would just be harder to maintain that while at another school. Just getting ready to tell them that everything, and all the stuff that they put into you, is going to be gone and they’ve got to look for someone else.”

The twins have narrowed their decision to USC, Auburn and NC State. Those are the three programs with which they scheduled official visits. Aiden said the program they will select will be the one that has shown them sincerity in the recruiting process, and the one with whom they have developed the best relationship with the coaches.

“Well, I’m just going to talk on my behalf. I can always look at these coaches and they will always be there for me outside of football,” Harris said. “If something were to go wrong, I just know they will be there for me. There’s no if, ands or buts about it. I’ve got faith in them. They’ve got faith in me. It will be good to be surrounded by them day by day and have them develop me.”

Harris said going to the same school as his brother will give them the chance to fulfill their childhood dream.

“It’s been a goal to be able to play college football with each other,” Harris said. “Having him by my side, he gives me a different type of drive that I probably wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for him. It goes both ways. We hold each other accountable because we’ve just got to.”

Harris said his mom, other family members and maybe his girlfriend will join them on the visit to USC this weekend. The brothers are scheduled to visit Auburn and NC State the following two weekends.
