USC target Dre Massey sets up 4 of his official visits

Wide receiver Dre Massey will take his first official visit this weekend to Cincinnati and has set up four other official trips.

Massey, from of Holmes Community College in Mississippi, will visit with USC the weekend of Nov. 14, Oklahoma on Nov. 21 and Florida on Nov. 28. He’s undecided on a fifth visit.

He’s been favoring the Gamecocks since getting an offer from them last week. Florida offered him Tuesday night.

Massey, originally from Mauldin High, said he talked with USC recruiters Shawn Elliott and Steve Spurrier Jr. Wednesday night when they contacted him after their practice.

“They said they were just excited to get me and my mom down there on the official and trying to get me to come back home and play for the Gamecocks,” he said

▪  USC defensive back commitment JJ Givens of Mechanicsville, Va., was offered Wednesday by Wisconsin.
