Local prospect T.J. Brunson gets another look at Gamecocks

Linebacker T.J. Brunson of Richland Northeast High made an unofficial visit to South Carolina on Friday.

While there he met with Will Muschamp and Shawn Elliott.

“It was fun,” Brunson said. “We talked about basically the same stuff.”

Brunson is a Louisville commitment and that hasn’t changed, but he will re-evaluate things later in January.

“I’m waiting to take my official visit (to USC). After the Shrine Bowl, I’ll find out more about my recruiting. I’m just letting everything soak in,” he said.

Brunson has taken an official visit to Louisville and hasn’t set any other visits besides the one to USC the weekend of Jan. 15.

He finished his season with around 140 total tackles.
