Conway receiver Bryan Edwards plans to make his decision known early this week, possibly as early as Monday, after taking an official visit to South Carolina over the weekend.

Edwards, who is an early graduate, is deciding between the Gamecocks and Clemson.

He took his official visit to Clemson Nov. 21 after decommitting from the Gamecocks following Steve Spurrier’s resignation.

“It was a great visit,” Edwards said of his time at USC. “I enjoyed being on campus with all the players and coaches.”

USC head coach Will Muschamp met with Edwards at his home last Monday night, while Clemson coach Dabo Swinney saw him on Thursday. The Gamecocks like him as a receiver, the Tigers as a safety.

Edwards was chosen for the Shrine Bowl and the US Army All American Bowl, but a knee injury cost him the last half of his senior season. He finished his career with 188 catches for 2,562 yards and 32 touchdowns.
