USC defensive target delays decision
Defensive lineman Kobe Smith of Lawrenceville, Ga., won’t make a college decision yet because of a “mistake” with his academic credits.
Smith (6-4, 295) announced on Twitter on Saturday morning that he won’t be an early enrollee as planned. He intended to show up at either South Carolina or Kentucky on Saturday and enroll for classes.
He was previously committed to Kentucky and NC State.
A mistake has happened with my credits so I won't be making my decision today and enrolling early...

USC offers JUCO receiver
South Carolina on Friday offered Class of 2017 receiver Stephen Guidry of Morganza, La., and Hinds Community College in Mississippi.
Guidry (6-4, 170) attended McNeese State last semester and redshirted. He transferred to Hinds this month and will play there this season. He won’t finish until May 2017. The USC offer is his first one.
“Mixed emotion,” he said. “Overwhelmed but humble about it.”
