Kiel Pollard preps for in-home visits with coaches

Wide receiver Kiel Pollard of Moultrie, Ga., was committed to Arkansas before visiting South Carolina last weekend.

He had a good visit with the Gamecocks, but so far this week he has not felt the desire to switch his allegiance. The final decision, however, has not been made.

“We’ve talked and we’re still undecided about what’s best for me,” Pollard said.

Bret Bielema of Arkansas is scheduled to make his in-home visit Thursday, and Will Muschamp is also expected in this week, though Pollard did have the exact date. Getting to know Muschamp and his staff was a key point of his visit last weekend.

“At first I thought the coaching staff was kind of different, but after knowing them it was better than I thought,” he said. “I think it’s a good place.”

Pollard said he’s been in touch with his USC recruiter Bobby Bentley since the visit.

Asked if one of the teams was out front, Pollard responded, “I’m still committed to Arkansas,” with the strength of that pledge “still about the same.”

Pollard said he does not have a timetable for making his final decision.
