Mark Richt and Bryan McClendon worked together in 2015 to get a commitment from wide receiver Randrecous Davis of Atlanta. Now in 2016, the two are working against each other to convince Davis to come to their new schools.
Davis (6-1, 185), who has been committed to Georgia, will switch to either the Hurricanes or the Gamecocks, his coach said Wednesday.
“Right now he’s holding to Georgia but probably will end up at Miami or South Carolina,” Mays High coach Corey Jarvis said. “No one from Georgia has been in touch. He’s really interested in South Carolina.”
Davis had an in-home visit with Richt on Tuesday night, and USC is scheduled Thursday for its in-home meeting. Davis will take an official visit to Miami this weekend and is scheduled to visit USC on Jan. 29.
