Marlon Character says commitment to Auburn remains solid

South Carolina defensive back target Marlon Character, who has been committed to Auburn, visited Auburn over the weekend and remains committed to the Tigers at this point.

He plans to visit Virginia Tech this weekend.

Character, a one-time USC commitment, told AL.com that “I can’t really see myself flipping” from his Auburn pledge. “You know, I’m pretty solid right now coming off this visit. Talking to the coaching staff, hanging out with some of the players, everything was good.”

Hank Tuipulotu still deciding

Tight end Hank Tuipulotu of Nation Ford High did not visit BYU this weekend due to canceled flights. He plans to visit there next weekend.

He has been committed to the Cougars since last summer but he visited USC last weekend and has an offer from the Gamecocks. He said he’s not talked with the Gamecocks since his official visit.

Tre Jackson visits Kansas State

USC receiver commitment Tre Jackson of Baton Rouge, La., took an official visit to Kansas State over the weekend. He also has visited Tulane.

He apparently has had very little contact with the new USC staff and would be one to watch for coming off the Gamecocks’ commitment list before signing day. along with OL Lloyd Cushenberry and DE Cecil Stallings.
