Top 2017 prospect Logan Rudolph takes closer look at USC
There’s another Rudolph coming out of Northwestern in 2017.
Defensive end Logan Rudolph is one of the most heavily-recruited players in the state in the 2017 class with 29 offers thus far, including South Carolina.
Some of his other offers include Oklahoma State, Arizona State, North Carolina, Auburn, Florida, Miami, Florida State, Penn State and Michigan. Rudolph has not narrowed his list and has no current favorites. He will get down to around a top 10 this summer then take his five official visits this fall.
Rudolph made an unofficial visit Jan. 30 to USC and left there with a better feel for the new coaches.
“It was basically a chance to meet Coach Muschamp and the rest of the coaches,” Rudolph said. “I got a good idea of what they are going to try to do and I think they’ve got a chance to be real successful in the future.”
Rudolph, who also plays tight end, said USC and all the other offering schools like him for defensive end. Last season he was in on 60 tackles with 15 sacks and 13 quarterback pressures.
USC is holding a junior day this weekend but Rudolph won’t attend. He’s heading out to see his brother Mason in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Thursday and might turn that into an unofficial visit and meet with some of the Cowboys’ coaches. He’s also planning future unofficial visits to Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Miami and possibly Georgia.
Rudolph is planning to graduate in December and enroll in college in January.
