It does not appear offensive lineman Eric Douglas of Charlotte is going to wait too much longer before making his decision.

He had planned to wait until his team of choice played its spring game, but the decision will come sooner than that.

"I'm starting to get the feeling about where I want to, the place that I actually love," Douglas said. "I don't know yet but I have a feel for where I want to go."

Douglas visited Florida on Saturday and the Gators made a strong impression.

"I got to meet the coaches and get a feel for the campus for the first time," he said. "I learned about the academics and how the workouts are and what they do throughout the week. They said they really liked me and how much they wanted me,"

He added they want him to follow in the footsteps of former Mallard Creek star offensive lineman DJ Humphries who became a first-round NFL draft pick last year.

Last Wednesday, Douglas visited North Carolina for the Duke basketball game and was offered by the Tar Heels. He is going to N.C. State this Saturday and Duke March 11. He also has South Carolina, Clemson and Cal on his short list. Douglas said he talked Saturday night with USC recruiter Shawn Elliott and is going to call Will Muschamp this week. He said he last heard from Clemson about two weeks ago. He said he'll probably visit South Carolina, North Carolina and N.C. State before finalizing his decision.

Douglas said he want's to major in journalism in college.
