Top USC QB target offered by Alabama
Quarterback Jake Bentley of Opelika, Ala., visited Alabama Tuesday and was offered by Nick Saban.
South Carolina has been the only other visit he’s taken in recent weeks. Bentley will be in Spartanburg on Thursday to visit with family but is not visiting USC on that trip. Some of his other offers are USC, Auburn, Duke, Stanford, Georgia, Wake Forest, Louisville, Kentucky, NC State, LSU, Arkansas and Nebraska.
"It definitely makes it more interesting, having to weigh this offer," Bentley told AL.com. "I'll get to know the coaches at Alabama even better and see where it goes from there."
Bentley is the son of Gamecocks running backs coach and former Byrnes coach Bobby Bentley. Jake Bentlely threw for 2,834 yards, 28 scores and eight interceptions as a junior.
