Offensive lineman Viktor Beach of Fort Myers, Fla., has a South Carolina offer and will make his first trip to the school Saturday for the junior day and the spring practice.

Beach (6-5 290) is being recruited by offensive line coach Shawn Elliott and hears regularly from him and head coach Will Muschamp.

“He loves the way I play, my tenacity and love of the game, my smartness and quickness,” Beach said of Elliott’s evaluation. “Coach Muschamp said he’s excited to have me up there and excited to meet me. It’s a great program with a great tradition and one of the top programs in the nation.”

Beach also has offers from Marshall, Central Florida and Central Michigan. Indiana also is very interested and may offer at some point. He’s also hearing from Purdue, South Florida, NC State, FAU and Georgia Southern. He has visited Indiana and South Florida and is going to NC State March 25 and to Purdue and Marshall in April.

“South Carolina obviously is my top school, but I like Indiana as well,” he said. “I have a lot of family up there and that’s why it’s one of my top schools.”

Beach is bringing his parents with him to USC and he doesn’t plan to make a decision until August.
