USC added another quarterback target to the board for 2017 Thursday with an offer to Wren's Jay Urich (6-foot-3, 170 pounds). The Gamecocks are the first Power Five conference school to offer. He also has offers from Coastal Carolina, Furman, Eastern Kentucky, Harvard, Jackson State, Mercer, SC State, North Dakota State and Gardner-Webb.

"It was awesome to receive that offer," Urich said. "I'm Thankful! "They really like me in their offense with me being a dual threat quarterback. I think USC is on the rise. With the coaches, facilities and the fan base. It's a great school."

Urich also is drawing interest from Duke, Kentucky, East Carolina, NC State, North Carolina, Penn State, Vanderbilt, Texas and Virginia. He has made recent visits to USC, Duke, East Carolina and Vanderbilt.

Urich posted a strong junior year with 2,758 passing yards, 21 touchdowns and nine interceptions, plus 1,031 yard and nine scores on the ground. He was a first-year starter and followed Kelly Bryant, now Deshaun Watson’s understudy at Clemson.
