Visit puts South Carolina atop Yusuf Corker’s list
Defensive back Yusuf Corker of Stockbridge, Ga., spent Friday at USC with his mother, and the visit pushed the Gamecocks ahead of Tennessee on his favorites list.
Corker said he got about 30 minutes with coach Will Muschamp on Friday before he had to leave for another engagement, and the Gamecocks coach spelled out his need for him.
“They really need corners for this year,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity. They are on the come up. They are taking six DBs in this class, and I’m they want because I can play safety, corner and nickel.”
